Mark Coffin, a versatile actor and singer, has performed internationally in such locations as Vancouver, British Columbia, Mexico City and St. Petersburg, Russia, as well as throughout the United States.

Mr. Coffin was featured in “I Remember Johnny: A Tribute to Johnny Mercer featuring Margaret Whiting”, in Atlanta, GA; at the 42nd Street Moon Theater Company, “All The Things You Are,” celebrating the Music of Jerome Kern at the Herbst Theatre, San Francisco, and as a guest in “The Love Songs of Cole Porter” starring Andrea Marcovicci at the New Brunswick, New Jersey State Theater Gala. He has also appeared as a guest of Ms. Marcovicci for two of her shows, “If I Were a Bell - the Songs of Frank Loesser” and “Easy to Love: The Lyrics of Cole Porter” at the Oak Room in the Algonquin Hotel. The Dutch Treat Club invited him to appear in a tribute to “60 Minutes” Don Hewitt, performing Mr. Hewitt’s favorite composer, Noel Coward, at the Yale Club. The Century Club asked him to participate in their celebration of the music of Betty Comden. He was also featured in “Songs of New York”, an evening of original music, for Ms. Lou Rodgers’ Golden Fleece Theater Company. Performing in the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Conventions, he has been featured in New York, East Hampton, Philadelphia and Chicago. While appearing in “The Broadway Musicals of 1933” at Town Hall (NYC), Coffin’s chilling performance was deemed “a dramatic tour de force,” by Stephen Holden of The New York Times.

Mr. Coffin was invited by George White of the The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center Cultural Exchange to appear in a staged reading of “Charlotte: Life or Theater?” presented in the Hermitage, St. Petersburg, Russia. Mr. Coffin also toured America with the Incomparable Hildegarde culminating in Hildegarde’s 80th birthday celebration at Carnegie Hall. Other venues of performance have been The National Arts Club, Weill Recital Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, The Russian Tea Room, The Ethical Cultural Center, The Fire Bird Cafe (with his show “Now”), Judy’s and Jan Wallman’s.

Mr. Coffin is a recipient of two Back Stage Bistro awards, a Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs nominee for Best Male Vocalist and the winner of the first MAC Hanson award.

Among his theatrical credits, Mark Coffin has appeared in “South Pacific” (Lt. Cable), “Sugar” (Jerry/Daphne), “Stop the World - I Want to Get Off” (Littlechap), ”Oliver” (Artful Dodger), “Catch 22” (ex-PFC. Wintergreen) and “The Soldier’s Tale” (The Soldier).

Mark Coffin is proud to have studied with the late, great Academy Award winner Sandy Dennis and with the inspired and continually inspiring George DiCenzo.

He has been interviewed by Joe Franklin (on his television show) as well as with Wes Richards on Bloomberg Radio, and has been often featured on David Kenney’s radio show “Everything Old is New Again” on WBAI 99.5 FM and on the internet at www.wbai.org.
